GARDASIL®9 (Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant) helps protect girls, boys , women and men in their sexually active ages from 9 to 26 or even older against cervical, vaginal, vulvar, and anal cancers and genital warts caused by 9 types of HPV.
This vaccine does not prevent all types of cervical cancer, so it’s important for women to continue routine cervical cancer screenings. Also it does not treat cancer or genital warts.
GARDASIL 9 is a shot that is usually given in the arm muscle. GARDASIL 9 is given mostly in 3 shots depending on the age of the person
